Minutes of the meeting of the Lone Rock Village Board held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.  Roll call – All Present except JR Marshall 

A motion by Pulvermacher, second by Quinn, to adopt the agenda as presented, carried.

Motion by C Ewers, second by Pulvermacher to approve the minutes from last meeting, carried.


Ted Greenheck was present to go over the Fire Station addition.  It was decided to proceed with the project.  Estimated costs are between $144,000 and $189,000.  The Fire District was notified earlier this year, and approved, the rent they pay on the Fire Station will increase to cover cost of building addition.


Richland County Tax Deeds on Glaser/Kast properties still in process.  Steve Morgenson will be our village’s representative at the bidding.


The Planning Commission recommended approving the Zoning Change on property located at West Intersection of Buck Run Rd and Hwy 14 to allow for the building of a Commercial Retail Store.  Motion made by Pulvermacher, second by C Ewers, carried, to accept the Planning Commission recommendation.


Motion to approve the Blue Print for the Dollar General Store, with the change of Water & Sewer to come from Buck Run Rd not Hwy 130, made by Pulvermacher, second by Morgenson, carried.


The Partisan Primary Election is the same day as our August Board Meeting.    The August Board Meeting date will be changed to Tuesday, August 16 at 7:00.


Resident concern about receiving letter about fence around her swimming pool.  All residents need to comply with Zoning Ordinance 6.04, swimming pool.  Officer Price sent letters to residents he was aware of not being in compliance.


Parks:  4th of July was a huge success.


Community Hall:  Still waiting on condition of floor to determine whether we should return Deposit Check.  Continue to hold Check at this point.  Board will all take a look at the spot.  To refinish complete floor would cost $9,000.

               The Community Hall is opened for Tornados (fire siren will go off for Tornado), if residents are worried during other severe storms there are phone numbers by the door to call.

               Motion by Pulvermacher, second by Morgenson to purchase a dehumidifier for the Community Hall.  Carried


Police:  Office Price said 4th of July worked out really well.  He would like to thank Richland County and Spring Green for their help.


Streets:  A number of trees in the street right of way need to be taken down or trimmed.  Quinn will contact Bill about removing, trimming the trees.   

               Concern about work done on new paving of streets.  Adam is contacting our contractor.


Library:  Open 20 hours a week.  Noon to five, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.


Water & Sewer:    Waiting for part for pump. 


Our new clerk has been hired:  Karen Kampen, she will be starting July 27, 2016


Signed vouchers for bills.
