Minutes of the meeting of the Lone Rock Village Board held on Tuesday April 12, 2016. Roll call – JR Marshall Absent. A motion by Morgenson & a second by Pulvermacher, to adopt the agenda as presented carried. Approval of Minutes carried with a motion by Pulvermacher and a second by Morgenson.

Clean-up Week - The week of May 2nd has been designated as Clean-Up-Week. A dumpster will be available at the dump site on Olson Road on Wednesday May 4th from Noon to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday May 7th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, with no fees charged for items dropped off. After clean up week a drive-around will take place to make sure residents are complying with the village ordinance(s) regarding any yard maintenance issues.

Dollar General – Soil engineering work is underway. The village will be getting a blue-print and get it to the building inspector to start that process.

Parks – Parks are open. New playground equipment is fully installed at Garrison Park. A tree planting in Garrison Park is still on the street department’s agenda but a date and exact location has not yet been determined. A score-board has been donated and the village employees and board will take care of the electrical work necessary for installation. The Women’s Summer League will be very active in Lone Rock this season. 4th of July Committee will be putting a storage shed in Fireman’s Park.

Police – Adam Reno will address squad car vehicle maintenance issues. An increased police presence will be implemented. Ongoing discussion of how to best handle bad checks written to local businesses is being kept on the agenda for future determination as the new judge gets seated and becomes operational.

Streets – A motion by Harry Pulvermacher and a second by Corey Ewers carried to accept a bid from D.L. Gasser for the street repairs that have been budgeted to take place this year. A motion by Morgenson and a second by Whalen to accept add-on to bid for extra work at the Fire Station which will provide better for heavy trucks and equipment. Digger’s Hotline will be in Monday in regards to the new street signs. A couple of problematic trees will be removed in the next couple of days on the main stretch through Lone Rock.

Library – Martha is on maternity leave. She has done a very good job managing the library and things are going very well.

Water and Sewer – Dan is getting quotes and meeting with representatives for writing of CMOM Program.
